Designing with / for Disability

In this workshop Dr. Jess Watkin invites participants to bring in specific questions, situations, and even designs to get feedback on, and have a larger, in-depth discussion about how to integrate accessibility, interdependence, crip time, and other important ways to move in good relationship to Disabled artists. This workshop will offer support for how to communicate with artists, organize, hire, and pay equitably for Disabled and Deaf consultants, how to respond to fluctuating needs in the moment, and ultimately offer space for folks to get familiar with these concepts in a compassionate environment with someone with lived experience of both Disability and supporting Disabled artists in performance practise. Some materials / preparation required in advance.
